Certain 2013 2019 model year Santa Fe/Santa Fe XL vehicles equipped with 3.3L Lambda II GDI engines may experience abnormal engine noise or engine damage. At Hyundai, we are committed to providing vehicles of outstanding quality and value. In an effort to meet this commitment, the warranty coverage for certain engine repairs and/or replacement related to eligible conditions has been extended to 15 years/150,000 miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use (whichever occurs first) and is valid for original and subsequent owners. Eligibility for this warranty coverage is determined upon an inspection of the vehicles engine.

The paint warranty coverage for affected vehicles has been extended to 10 years/unlimited miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use, and is valid for original and subsequent owners. The warranty extension does NOT apply to any vehicle that has been previously declared a total loss, and/or sold for salvage by a financial institution or insurer, and/or has a branded or similar title under any states law.

This warranty extension only applies to factory-applied paint and does not cover collision-related paint repairs or vehicles with a salvaged title. Hyundai is extending the warranty coverage for certain white paint colors under these conditions from 3 years and 36,000 miles, to 10 years with unlimited miles from the date of original retail delivery or date of first use, and is valid for original and subsequent owners.
