ECM REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE REQUIRED FOR RES EQUIPPED VEHICLES SERVICE INFORMATION If any of the APPLIED VEHICLES equipped with Remote Engine Start (RES) requires Engine Control Module (ECM) replacement, the Body Control Module (BCM) must be replaced also at the same time. If you are not familiar with the Re/programming, Configuration procedure, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) and the CONSULT Operation Manual to reprogram the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Follow all precautions in both manuals to prevent possible personal injury or death and/or damage to the ECU. This procedure will go back and forth between the ECM and BCM steps as found in the ESM. Damage will occur requiring the ECM and the BCM to be replaced a second time if the following SERVICE PROCEDURE is not followed. Perform the following steps from the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) in this order: A. Perform Work

CLICKING NOISE WHEN OPENING DRIVER DOOR SERVICE INFORMATION If a popping / clicking noise is present from one or more of the Door Check Links (Figure 1) when opening the associated door: First confirm that the torque of the door side mounting bolts of the related Door Check Link is at the correct specification, and then retest for popping / clicking before considering replacing the Door Check Link. FUEL FILLER TUBE LOWER SEAL IS LEAKING AND DTC P0456 IS STORED IN THE ECM IF YOU CONFIRM The vehicle has a visible leak with a smoke machine test coming from the fuel filler tube lower seal, AND DTC P0456 is stored as Active, Past, or Pending in the ECM. ACTION 1. Remove the supplied funnel from the rear of the vehicle or trunk. 2. Insert the funnel completely in the fuel filler tube and remove completely five (5) times. 3. Re-check the fuel filler tube lower seal with a smoke machine to determine visually if any leak is present. 4. If the fuel filler lower seal continues to leak, replace the fuel filler tube. VENT CONTROL VALVE IN ACTIVE TEST INOPERATIVE IN CONSULT 4 SERVICE INFORMATION An issue in CONSULT 4 has been identified in EVAP system close in Work support. After selecting the "EVAP system close" in Work support, the VENT CONTROL/V in Active test becomes non-functional temporarily. When selecting EVAP system close operation in Work support, wait 10 minutes before starting VENT CONTROL/V Active test or cycle the IGN switch ON/OFF for VENT CONTROL/V Active test to be operational. HINT: This bulletin applies to model years that use CONSULT 4 only.
