Electronic stability control · Standard
The NHTSA record was matched using the decoded model year, make, model, body, drivetrain and any required cab or powertrain details. Source naming differences do not combine different configurations.
Ratings describe a tested configuration, not the condition or crash history of this individual used vehicle. Compare NHTSA overall and frontal ratings only within the same vehicle class and within 250 pounds of curb weight.

Autorrive assessment
An Autorrive score needs an additional permitted, configuration-matched independent assessment of crash protection, prevention and headlights.
Additional independent testing
IIHS evaluates crash protection, crash prevention and equipment using its own tests and grading system.
A verified independent assessment is not yet included in this report. NHTSA results above remain separate from an Autorrive composite score.

Certain IONIQ 5 (NEA EV) vehicles may experience Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination and false battery overtemperature fault diagnosis caused by water ingress into the high voltage battery system. This condition may cause unnecessary fail-safe activation, potentially resulting in reduced vehicle performance or limited vehicle operation if the vehicle is continually driven. This bulletin provides the service procedure to update the Battery Management System (BMS) software to optimize the fail-safe activation logic to prevent false activation. Additionally, diagnostic criteria for DTC P1AD300 Hybrid/EV Battery Abnormal Performance: MISD has also been improved to enhance diagnostic accuracy.
