A New Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF-A7) is being used for some 2023-2026 models. ATF-A7 is an extremely low viscosity formulation with low friction to achieve best-in-class fuel economy and driving performance. For easy identification, ATF-A7 is colored Red and ATF-FZ is colored Blue. There is NO interchangeability between ATF-A7 and ATF-FZ. For CX-30, Mazda3, and CX-5, some 2.5L and all 2.5T engines still use ATF-FZ. Verify the type of ATF according to what is in MGSS (TRANSMISSION/TRANSAXLE TECHNICAL DATA) or what is marked on the dipstick (see below).

Some vehicles exhibit brake related concerns such as brake noise, brake judder or brake dragging. If you encounter a customer complaint for any one of these symptoms, refer to the following information to understand why symptoms may occur, and to better assist the customer in resolving their specific brake concern. NOTE: Before following this Service Alert repair procedure, ensure published TSBs in MGSS have been completed per model year.

Document 11028095

There are wrinkles on the leather seat cushion and/or seat back surface at PDI, when new vehicle is delivered, or when new upholstery is installed under Warranty repair. NOTE: This repair is not a permanent fix, it is meant to make new seats look their best when the vehicle is first presented to the customer. Wrinkles may not be completely removed after the repair is completed. Leather is a natural material and may develop some wrinkles due to aging and wear during normal usage.

Document 11028127

Some customers may report an odor or water in the HVAC system and upon inspection, the cabin air filter may be found to be wet.

Document 11028128

Some customers may complain that the tire sidewalls are distorted or "damaged". Sidewall waviness/indentations/undulations are common on radial tires and are more noticeable on tires with taller sidewalls. The higher the tire pressure, the more noticeable the effect will be. Be sure to set the tire pressures at the recommended tire pressure on the vehicle tire label. Sidewall indentations are a cosmetic condition that does not affect the performance of the tires.
